FORMULA 1 English superstar Lewis Hamilton may have passed through Folkestone under the radar when his Mercedes team rocked up at a service station.

His teammate Nico Rosberg, currently leading the championship, could also have been accompanying him when the racing team’s official Twitter account tweeted its whereabouts.

Yesterday, with a black and white picture, it said: “Is it weird that seeing this on a service station wall makes us happy? :) #MotorsportNerds#F1#BelgianGP#RoadTrip

One F1 fan replied to the account asking which service station it was at to which it cheekily replied with: “The one before the puddle between us and les French ;)”

User @beckitasticthen wrote: “Hmm, Folkestone mayhaps? It's one I haven't been to, that's for sure. I knew you should have taken me along. #SoSelfish

In reply, the F1 team’s account confirmed the location and hashtagged Le Tunnel, probably implying their use of the Eurotunnel.

Tomorrow the first practice of the Belgian grand prix, the twelfth round of the F1 season, begins with the race on Sunday.

Grow up Herald. Do you think that a Multi Millionaire like Hamilton travels in a truck? Not even the pit crew travel that way.
